Rick's Cabaret Converts Its Hobby Airport Location To Rick's Sports Cabaret

HOUSTON-(May 1, 2006)- Rick's Cabaret International, Inc. [NASDAQ:RICK], has converted its nightclub near Hobby Airport into Rick's Sports Cabaret, offering upscale topless entertainment in a sports-bar setting.

Rick's Sports Bar begins operating today at the site of the company's Hummer's Sports Bar and the adjacent XTC Cabaret South Houston (at 9009 Airport Blvd.). The opening date coincides with the Oil Technology Conference (OTC), which is expected to bring thousands of business travelers to Houston.

"With the addition of this new club concept all business travelers to Houston area airports will be just minutes from a Rick‚s Cabaret. In addition to our new Hobby Airport location we have the very popular Rick's Cabaret near George Bush International Airport (at 410 N. Sam Houston Pkwy)," said Eric Langan, President and CEO of Rick's Cabaret.

Mr. Langan said the cost to convert the XTC Cabaret and Hummer's venues to comply with the more luxurious Rick's Cabaret concept was minimal. The company believes the new club will result in increased revenues immediately. The company continues to operate XTC Cabaret North in Houston (at 11415 North Frwy.)
